What Clients Say

"Brought in my grandfather's dress watch — the crown had been sticky for years and I had been putting off dealing with it. They assessed it the same day and explained exactly what had worn. The part was confirmed with me before fitting and the watch was back within a week. It winds perfectly now."

Pavinee Numchok

"The movement service took about twelve days which was a little longer than I expected, but they called halfway through to say a part had worn more than the initial look suggested and wanted to know how I wanted to proceed. That kind of check-in is what you hope for. The timing note at the end was a nice touch."
April 2025 · Movement Clean & Lubricate
Wanchai Thaiwong
Thonglor, Bangkok
"I collect vintage Japanese automatics and was looking for somewhere in Bangkok that actually understands them. These people do. They worked on two pieces — a full restoration on one and a clean on the other. The documentation for the restoration is genuinely impressive. Highly recommend for anyone with a watch they care about."

"My mother's watch had not been touched in about twenty years. I was nervous handing it over — it is not especially valuable but it matters to me. They were careful and calm about the whole thing. The original crown could not be sourced exactly but they showed me the options and we agreed on the best fit. It now winds as if nothing was ever wrong."
June 2025 · Stem & Crown Repair
Kritchai Pornpituk
Ekkamai, Bangkok
"Walked in without an appointment and was seen immediately. The assessment was straightforward — worn keyless works, nothing dramatic. The repair was quoted reasonably and completed in four days. The only thing I would say is the workshop is a little hard to find on the soi but worth it once you are there."

Nattaporn Leelacharoen
Khlong Toei, Bangkok
"The full restoration took eight weeks but I knew that going in. What I did not fully expect was how thorough the documentation would be — a written record of every stage, each worn part described and photographed. The watch runs better than it probably has in a decade and I now have a proper reference for its history."

Case Studies
Three jobs that illustrate how the different service levels work in practice.
Challenge
A 1970s dress watch had developed a loose crown that slipped when the wearer tried to set the time. The original stem had fractured at the thread and the crown showed wear from years of handling. The owner was reluctant to have significant work done and wanted the most conservative fix.
Solution
Stem and crown were assessed against the calibre reference. An original-profile replacement stem was sourced from our parts stock, confirmed with the owner, and fitted with a new crown of matching diameter. The case seal was checked and the existing gasket replaced. Function test confirmed smooth winding and setting.
Result
Completed in 4 working days. Watch returned with original fractured stem and written note. Owner described the outcome as "the watch feels new again." No further work was needed to the movement, which was running within an acceptable daily rate.
Challenge
A mid-range Japanese automatic worn as a daily driver for eight years had never been serviced. The owner noticed it was consistently losing around two minutes per day — within tolerance previously but getting worse. No visible damage, just a movement that had run dry.
Solution
Full movement clean including ultrasonic cleaning of components, fresh lubrication to each bearing surface and the escapement, and regulation. One worn jewel setting was noted in the written report but the owner elected to defer replacement, which was a reasonable decision given the watch's daily use context.
Result
Completed in 10 working days. Rate improved from approximately -2 min/day to +4 sec/day. Timing note provided on return. Owner intends to return in two years for a follow-up clean, which is a sensible interval for daily wear.
Challenge
A Swiss pocket watch, circa 1940s, inherited from the client's father. It had not run in at least fifteen years. Movement damage from long-term storage without service — dried lubrication, a broken mainspring, and oxidation on several wheel pivots. The client wanted it running again and a full written record for the family.
Solution
Complete strip-down, ultrasonic clean, mainspring replacement with a period-correct gauge, pivot polishing, and full lubrication. Sourcing the mainspring took three weeks — confirmed with the owner before ordering. Stage-by-stage documentation photographed throughout. New crystal fitted after the original was found cracked on examination.
Result
Completed in 7 weeks. Watch returned running at +8 sec/day — good for its age. Original mainspring, crystal, and documentation returned with the watch in a labelled envelope. Client described receiving the written record as "more than I expected — something I will keep with it always."
