Three Services, Each Matched to the Watch
From a single crown replacement to a fully documented restoration — we work at the pace and depth your timepiece needs.
Back to HomeHow We Approach Every Job
The three service levels at Gearloom are not a tiered sales structure — they reflect genuinely different scopes of work. A watch that winds stiffly because of a worn crown does not need a full movement service. A vintage piece with a long service history and worn jewels needs more than a clean.
We begin every job with an assessment, not a price. Once we have described the watch's condition in writing, we present a recommended scope and leave the decision with you. If you choose a lighter service than we might suggest, we document what was observed so that it can be addressed later.
Parts are confirmed before fitting. Replaced components are returned. A timing note is provided where applicable. These are not premium extras — they are how we work on every job.

Record & Return
Parts and documentation returned with the watch
Stem & Crown Repair
฿3,500Repair or renewal of broken stems and worn crowns so that setting and winding feel smooth again. The service covers fitment, sealing, and a full function check. Suited to watches that have become hard to set or wind. The replacement part match is confirmed with the owner before any fitting takes place.
- Diagnosis and written condition note
- Stem and crown fitment with owner's part approval
- Water resistance check and gasket replacement as needed
- Full winding and setting function test on completion
Typical Duration
3 – 5 working days
Movement Clean & Lubricate
฿8,400A mid-level service for movements that run but feel tired, covering cleaning, fresh lubrication, and regulation. Worn parts are noted for the owner's decision rather than replaced without discussion. Suited as steady upkeep between major overhauls. A short timing note is included on return.
- Full movement clean — plates, bridges, and components
- Period-appropriate lubricants applied correctly
- Regulation and short timing note on completion
- Worn parts noted in writing for owner's future decision

Full Restoration & Documentation
฿30,500A complete, well-recorded restoration for treasured pieces — from strip-down to final timing. Covers sympathetic part sourcing and a detailed stage-by-stage record of the work. Best suited to collectible and inherited watches where history matters as much as function. All replaced parts are returned with a written summary.

- Sympathetic sourcing of original or period-correct parts
- Stage-by-stage written documentation throughout
- Final timing record in multiple positions

Best for
Stem & Crown
A watch that has become difficult to wind or set. No movement issue.
Best for
Movement Clean
A watch running but noticeably slow or losing time after years without service.
Best for
Full Restoration
An inherited or collectible piece where history, documentation, and parts continuity matter.
Standards Across All Services
These protocols apply regardless of which service level is selected.
Owner Consent Before Work
Written assessment provided and agreed before any work begins. No additions to scope without prior approval.
Correct Lubricant for the Era
Lubricants are matched to the movement specification and age. The wrong lubricant in the right place is as harmful as none at all.
All Parts Returned
Every component replaced is returned to the owner — not discarded. For restoration work, each part is identified in writing.
Water Resistance Where Applicable
Any service that disturbs case sealing includes a water resistance check and gasket replacement as required.
Proactive Communication
If something unexpected is found during work, we contact the owner before proceeding. No surprises on the return visit.
Post-Work Function Verification
Every watch is checked for correct winding, setting, and running before it is returned. Clean and restoration services also include a timing record.
